[Sun 26 - 3.00pm] The Maris Project presents Mara! meets Marais.

Aria award-winners Mara! is one of Australia’s finest world music groups, performing in 21 countries. The ensemble consists of Mara Kiek, voice, Llew Kiek, fretted instruments and Steve Elphick, bass. In conjunction with The Marais Project will perform on traditional ethnic and (reconstructed) medieval lutes, double bass, and traditional hand and stick drums. Musicians: Mara Kiek – voice & percussion; Belinda Montgomery - soprano;  Jennifer Eriksson & Catherine Tabrett – viola da gamba; Steve Elphick – double bass; Tommie Andersson & Llew Kiek – guitars, lutes & fretted instruments.

Tickets: $35/22 (+ booking fee). The special concession price of $22 is only available for tickets purchased in advance from The Marais Project www.maraisproject.com.au  and cannot be obtained at the door.

[Mon 27 -7.00pm] Sydney Opera House presents Europa Galante performing Vivaldi's Four Seasons and other works by Vivaldi and Purcell.

Founded in 1990 by virtuosic conductor and violinist Fabio Biondi, dazzling Italian early-music ensemble Europa Galante is established as the foremost interpreters of Italian baroque and classical music.
